Overview

Cummins Financial Engine (“the App”) is a personal productivity tool designed for insurance sales professionals to track their business activities, including leads, policies, door knocking, mileage, and expenses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account Information

Apple ID: We use Apple Sign-In for authentication. We receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your name and email address if you choose to share them.

Business Data You Enter

Lead and client contact information (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails)
Policy and commission records
Door knocking activity and notes
Transaction and expense records
Voice notes and their transcriptions

Location Data

When In Use: We collect your location when you log door knocks to record the address visited.
Background Location: With your permission, we track your location in the background during active workday sessions to calculate business mileage for tax deduction purposes. Location is recorded approximately every 200 meters traveled.

Photos

Receipt images you choose to attach to expense records.

Device Information

Device timezone for proper date/time display.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

Provide the App’s core functionality (tracking leads, policies, mileage, expenses)
Sync your data across your devices
Calculate business metrics and analytics
Generate mileage reports for tax purposes

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in the cloud using Supabase, a secure database platform.
Data is associated with your authenticated account and is not accessible to other users.
All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Your data may only be disclosed:

If required by law or legal process
To protect our rights or safety, or that of others

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Apple Sign-In: For secure authentication (Apple Privacy Policy)
Supabase: For secure cloud data storage (Supabase Privacy Policy)

Your Rights and Choices

Access: All your data is visible within the App.
Export: You can export your mileage records from within the App.
Deletion: You can delete individual records within the App. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
Location: You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device Settings. Background mileage tracking will stop, but other App features will continue to work.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. If you request account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above.
