Cow-Chip Country
We got to spend Friday and Saturday morning with Dad and Wanda over in Forgan, Oklahoma. We had the memorial service for my Grandma in Beaver, which is just down the road.
Beaver is know for being the “Cow Chip Throwing Capital of the World,” which is quite a title! So, just to keep in the spirit of things, I had to take some cow chip photos.
Here’s Ellie with the “Chip Makers” not too far behind…

This is a kinda funny photo to me, because I tried to get Micah to hold one, and he lifted it over his head and then he got a little chip debris in his eye. Sorry, it just kind of made me laugh.

This photo is nothing special, but it made me laugh because it really sums up our lives right now: the kids playing hard, and I’m trying hard to photograph them.

I have a bunch more photos of our time out there in the panhandle, so I’ll roll those out in some more posts. I have a couple of cool shots of my Dad that I’m going to post as soon as I do a little Photoshop work on them to “cool them up” a little.

That is a great action shot of the kids, and the composition with the shadows, the horizon, and the framing is really nice. Plus you observed the rule of thirds!! A gold star for you!
Loved the chips too!

Looks like good Western fun. Should of had you wave hello to the family as you went by or at least taken the presents I need to get in the mail to them!!
