How to drop a hint.

When I came home from rehearsal tonight, I found this note stuck to the fridge.

Ellie’s Note

Ellie has been learning to read and write. She’s really good at sounding stuff out that she doesn’t know how to spell, so just read that message out loud and you’ll see what she’s saying.

Here’s the background: Ellie has decided we need a puppy. She has decided that a fish is not enough. She has decided to save her $1/week allowance until she has enough money to buy a puppy. When I explained that dogs are expensive, she let me know that she would get one from the pound. She will not be dissuaded easily.

One of my favorite things about this note was her taking time to find a little piece of clip art that would help drive the point home. I guess I may be passing my love for graphics on to the next generation.

Anyway, made me laugh.

Too cute! I believe there will be another addition to the Cummins family soon. It should present some more interesting and creative photo ops.

Is that a picture of a yorkie? Or is she justing wanting any dog she can get? In my opinion yorkies are the best dog. They don’t shed and they are very lovable.

Let me tell you. This will not be not be the end of the notes. We have been getting them for almost 2 years now. She gets more creative all the time. She’s planning on what she can sell on the internet to save up again. I really wouldn’t mind a cute dog, if it didn’t shed, wouldn’t chew up my stuff, and was already p-trained. Maybe I’ll have to check into this yorkie thing.

I think a dog is a great idea. I am especially fond of my yorkie “chelsea”not to be confused with the Clinton’s. They are very loveable and playful. They do however need to be groomed every 8to9 weeks. You can learn to do it yourself. Shall we start apuppy fund.
